You will know what it costs before we touch it.
Warrant of Fitness, servicing and mechanical repairs in the Wairarapa.

Who you are dealing with
Stew Morris
Owner, and the man who does most of the work
Stew has had his hands in Wairarapa engine bays since he was seventeen. He bought the Belvedere Road workshop in 1998 and has run it the same way ever since: look at it properly, ring the owner, then do the job. He would rather tell you a car is not worth fixing than take your money to find out.
More about the workshopWhat we take on
Eight lines of work, and no age limit on the vehicle. Tap any of them for what is involved.

Why people keep coming back
One set of hands
Stew does most of the work himself. The person who looks at your car is the person who rings you about it.
Priced before it starts
You get a number before the spanners come out, and a second call if the job grows past it.
Any age of vehicle
Thirty-year-old utes and three-year-old hybrids get the same look over. Nothing is turned away for being old.
Told, not sold
Work that can wait gets written down for next time rather than added to today’s invoice.

Rang about a noise, Stew told me to bring it down that afternoon. Turned out to be a wheel bearing. Had it done next morning and it cost less than he quoted me. Cannot ask for better than that.

Had the brakes done on the Hilux. He measured everything and showed me the pads before and after. Not many places bother doing that these days.

Took my old Legacy in thinking it was done for. Stew spent twenty minutes with me explaining what was worth fixing and what wasnt. Ended up spending way less than I had budgeted.

First WOF since moving to Carterton. Failed on a tyre, he had one on and me out the door in an hour. Very fair price and no fuss at all.
